Editorial standards
Credit decisions affect people's finances, so accuracy matters. Here's how we research, write, review, and correct everything we publish.

Who writes our content
Guides, glossary entries, and blog posts on this site are published by the CreditGod Editorial Team, the people at CreditGod LLC responsible for our educational content. We publish under the team name rather than inventing individual bylines or credentials. We don't use paid reviewers, testimonials, or ratings on our educational pages.
How we source facts
Every legal or statistical claim is tied to a primary source and linked in the guide's Sources section. In order of preference, we rely on the text of the law (for example, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Credit Repair Organizations Act), official guidance from regulators such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and educational material published by the scoring companies and credit bureaus about their own products.
If we can't verify a figure or legal point against a primary source, we leave it out. We don't publish invented statistics, user counts, or outcome claims.
What we will never claim
- That anyone can remove accurate, timely negative information from a credit report.
- That we can delete specific items, raise a score by a set number of points, or deliver results by a certain date. Results vary.
- That a paid service can do anything legally that you can't do yourself. You can dispute inaccurate information with the credit bureaus directly, for free, and our guides say so.
- That our content is legal advice. CreditGod is not a law firm, and our AI is not a lawyer.
- That Boost Line approval or a specific limit is certain. Boost Line offers an approved limit up to $10,000, subject to approval.
Review and updates
Each guide shows a "last reviewed" date. We re-check guides when the underlying rules change, such as new CFPB rules, court decisions, or changes in bureau policy, and on a regular schedule. When a rule is struck down or changes, we update the guide and say what changed rather than quietly rewriting history.
How we use AI
We use AI tools, including our own AI, to help research, outline, and draft content. AI output is never published as-is: every factual statement is checked against the primary source linked on the page, and every page is reviewed against these standards and the compliance rules above before it goes live.
Commercial relationship
CreditGod sells a paid credit management subscription, and our guides include clearly labeled links to it. Our recommendations in guides are the same whether or not you use CreditGod. We don't accept payment to mention other companies, and we don't name competitors. Comparisons on this site describe approaches (doing it yourself, traditional credit repair companies, and AI credit managers) rather than brands.
Corrections
Spotted an error or an outdated rule? Email support@creditgod.ai with "Correction" in the subject line and a link to the page. We review every report, fix confirmed errors promptly, and update the page's review date.
